Guthlaxton Lodge Entertain the Residents of Devonshire Court

Guthlaxton Lodge No.7717, with the help of the musical trio of Timeless, entertained the residents of the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution Care Home Devonshire Court, based in Oadby, Leicestershire, with any array of classic songs, drinks and raffle at their annual visit.

The Master of the Lodge, W.Bro. Dorian McKillop, Master Elect, Bro. Carl Ackers, and Almoner W.Bro. Neville Hudson were supported by W.Bro. Robert Hargrave and Bro. John Sanderson, along with their wives and partners.

The entertainment was well received by the residents, as were an array of raffle prizes.

Guthlaxton Lodge has been visiting Devonshire Court for many years, which it is proud to do, especially as the origins of the lodge were from the Oadby area, with a stipulation once being that any members needed to reside within Oadby and Wigston. That requirement has long been dropped, but the history of the lodge has not been forgotten, and they consider that their annual visit is an acknowledgment of that history.

Resident W.Bro. John Kendrick thanked the Brethren and families of Guthlaxton Lodge for their time and efforts and expressed that they all looked forward to their visit every year.
