Guthlaxton Lodge 7717 “Bowled Over” by Support

Guthalxton Lodge held a beer and skittles evening at the Rose and Crown in Thurnby Leicester on Saturday 21st May 2016. With over 60 members, friends and family in attendance the evening turned out to be a great success with much fun and games being witnessed by all.

The proceeds of the evening, which included a raffle and quiz, raised a handsome amount of £480, which will be divided between the Worshipful Master’s chosen charities of Prostaid and Kidney Research.

The summer does not signal the end of Guthlaxton Lodges’ social functions with a curry evening planned for mid-summer and a Sunday Lunch in September.

The thriving social scene of Guthlaxton Lodge has proved a great opportunity of introducing potential candidates the Lodge with both of next seasons prospective initiates being present on the evening. It also allows the newer brethren to form strong friendships outside the lodge, which makes the relationships and team ethos within the lodge much stronger, which in turn builds a great team harmony for all Brethren in progressive office.

The functions also allow the wives and partners to all socialise on a number of occasions a year, which is considered as essential in helping ensure that all members of Guthlaxton have the support and understanding from their wives and partners to allow them to enjoy their masonry as much as possible.
